Do you have a pet? What kind of pet do you own, and why did you choose it?

I have a mastiff, he is a big baby, but very protective of me and my family. I always wanted a big dog, I asked my parents for a dalmatian when I was younger, so that Christmas I received a stuffed dalmatian dog, haha very funny. Then I asked again later that year, and my parents said that I could get a dog, but that it had to be small, so I got a cockapoo, who recently passed after 17 years....she was a good dog. So now I have "Chunk" my mastiff baby who thinks he is a lap dog, but he is a great dog, and loves my kids, I don't think that I will ever own another breed!

You have $100 to spend online in the next hour. How are you going to spend it?
For sure Christmas is coming up quick, and I have slacked on the presents so far. It would def. go towards Christmas!
What will you remember most about this summer?
Not necessarily this summer, but the spring trip to Disneyland....I had the best time! It was more fun than I have had in a long time, and I did not want to leave!
People do many different things to cope with stress, loss, and "bumps in the road". How do you handle stress and hard times?
Submitted by RedlyGal.
Yeah, for beer! Ok, not really, but when I get stressed I love to go out with the kids, and do whatever they want to do, I cannot go back to being a kid, but I can see the look on their faces when they are having fun, and it makes what I do well worth it!
Who is the cheapest person you know? (Not frugal... just annoyingly cheap!)

Normally I would say myself, but my brother in law is skimpy mcskimpy, he won't order cheese on his hamburger because he doesn't want to pay the extra 40 cents. Not because he doesn't have any money, him and my sister are both engineers. To each their own I guess.
What were the sports or games you played in high school or college?
Submitted by Stephen.
I played softball and tennis my freshman year in high school. I started playing tennis the summer before my freshman year, and thought I would try out for the freshman tennis team, I ended up not only making it on the team, but I was ranked number one, then with some encouragement from my coach I tried out for the j.v. team my freshman year as well, I ended up not making the j.v. team...such a shame...that's probably because I was (i'm about to brag) so damn good that they decided to put me not only on the varsity team, but I was number one on the varsity team! Sorry, one of the joys of my life...always gotta put that in somewhere! Oh, and can't forget that my doubles partner and I were ranked number two in the southwest!
What was your favorite road-trip of all time?
Submitted by bodhibound.
I would have to say that my favorite road-trip of all time would have to be when I was 23, and my mom was moving down from Alaska to Arizona. It was a blast, two women driving the biggest u-haul you can rent towing a jeep behind...not really knowing exactly how to get to where they were going.
Although I am looking forward to my next trip which is coming up on the 22nd of August! I am flying into Minnesota, with all the kids, (husband is staying behind), renting a car then driving it down through Wisconsin, then going to Chicago, then continuing onto Michigan, staying there for a few days, then taking the ferry across lake Michigan back to Wisconsin to go see my grandparents for a few days, then heading back up to Minnesota, and heading home. I am stressing because of the kids, but they are my drive, and I know they will keep me insanely sane! I can't wait!
So I'm trying to get through school...so far I love all my classes except for one..."English"....I've never liked it therefore I have never put the time into it. It is so hard for me to study a class I care nothing about...I only need this one English class for my prereq's into the nursing program, but it is driving me nuts...I hate it......Algebra bring it on, I am loving it...Medical terminology...is fantastic...it's interesting and I am learning so much great stuff....Biology....I love living and dead things..I can't wait to cut into a cadaver....but English...I don't care about it, I'm not a writer, I never have been and never will be....I defin. did not inherit a writers gene......aarrgghhhhh....2 and a half more months and I will hopefully be done with English classes for the rest of my life!
Also thank you Crystal for helping me last Sunday with English!!!! I am such a dummy when it comes to "it."
I don't know exactly what happened, but for some reason it seemed like school got turned up a notch. Perhaps it is the way of summer school, but between three kids, and having 4 assignments due every week, and 4 test/quizzes as well has become almost a bit overwhelming. I know I can handle it, but it is taking some organization magic on my part. I think next year I might skip the summer school and take it off, not to sure, I guess i'll have to see where i'm at when the time comes.
On another note, Andrew is starting Kindergarten in August.....I am so not ready for my little baby to leave me for six hours. He's ready, and asks almost everyday when school is starting, so he's excited about this whole endeavor. It will be good for him, and I know i'll get used to it, but *sniff, sniff, tear* I still remember about six months ago he lost his first tooth, he pulled it out himself, and when he showed it to me he said "mommy, look I lost my first tooth because i'm becoming a man" I love my kids so much....I think I would be lost without them!
